Before you go: The November 1 NPS road report lists sporadic single-lane closures around mileposts 291.8-305.1 and 317-344. Linville Falls campground and picnic area and Linn Cove Visitor Center remain closed. Mileposts 344.2-355.3 are closed for Helene recovery, with recreation prohibited in that section. Check live status for changes.

Seasonal notes: Road conditions are updated daily by NPS. The November 1 report lists the Linville Falls spur road open and most sections south of milepost 317.5 through 344 open with intermittent restrictions; older blanket south-of-317.5 closure descriptions are outdated.
