Hours and access: Winter 2026, November 1-December 31: 9 AM-5 PM, last entry 3:30 PM and trails close 4 PM. Closed Thanksgiving (November 26) and Christmas (December 25). December 14 and 24 close 4 PM, last entry 2:30 PM and trails close 3 PM. Weather may alter access; entrance gate (828) 733-4337.

Cost: Ticketed admission; visitors encouraged to book online in advance

Before you go: Weather may delay opening, close the park early or limit access above the Conservation Campus. The official homepage lists Hodges Theater closed for projector repairs and Yonni’s Clubhouse closed November 10 for maintenance. Advance timed-entry tickets recommended.
